recognize you are not alone or abnormal in how you feel. cut back a little on news media and instead schedule in something that brings you joy. for example, move around in nature, hang out with at least one friend, watch little kids or furry animals play, read a fun book, play music, cook—whatever engages you and makes you smile! express what you’re feeling by writing or by talking with someone who listens well and can hold space for you. if you can, try to be light about it.
